Multiple machines at once
A single window with tabs, just like your browser. Tabs you are not looking at drop their own quality so they never steal bandwidth from the one you are actually using.
File transfer

Real multi-monitor support

Permission, not a password
The normal path is asking permission: you type the ID and the other person gets a prompt to accept or reject. Whoever sits at the machine decides about their own machine.

Your screen never passes through our servers
Our server only plays matchmaker: it exchanges the initial credentials so the two PCs can find each other. From that point on, video, clicks, chat and files travel directly between the two machines, encrypted end to end. We cannot see your session and we do not want to — technically it never reaches us.

What everyone asks before downloading
Is LineDesk really free?
Yes. LineDesk is free for both personal and commercial use, with no time limits, no cap on the number of devices and no features locked behind a paid plan. There is no trial version because there is no paid version.
Does it cut sessions off like AnyDesk or TeamViewer?
No. LineDesk never terminates a session and never shows commercial-use warnings. You can keep a machine connected for as long as you need, and if the network drops the session reconnects on its own.
Do I need an account?
No. On installation the app generates a 9-digit ID unique to that machine. To connect you only need that ID and for the person on the other end to accept. We never ask for an email, a phone number or any registration.
Is the connection secure?
Yes. Video and control travel directly between the two machines over WebRTC with mandatory end-to-end DTLS-SRTP encryption.
Our server only introduces the two machines at the start: it never sees your screen, your clicks or the files you transfer.
Which operating systems are supported?
The current release is 0.7.4 on 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 and 0.7.4 on macOS 10.15 or later (Intel and Apple Silicon), in both cases either controlling or being controlled, and you can mix them: a Mac can drive a PC and the other way round. For 64-bit Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 there is a separate compatibility installer on the download page. A Linux build is in development and there is no mobile app.
Can I transfer files?
Yes. LineDesk includes a dual-pane file browser: your own drive on the left, the remote drive on the right. You can send individual files or entire folders with their full subfolder tree, and the data travels directly between the two PCs without passing through any server.
